Hiltermann Consumentenfinancieringen (HCF) is the youngest member of the Hiltermann Lease. We are a fast-growing modern fintech company and trendsetter in consumer finance solutions in The Netherlands. We offer online, fully automated straight through processing of car financing without car buyers having to take out a separate loan with a regular lender. With an open, fresh fintech culture we focus on offering an optimal customer experience through our consumer finance platform. Twenty years of experience in the automotive industry combined with a considerable amount of IT know-how and new technology we enable our customers to quickly and responsibly drive the car that suits them.

 
Your job
As our Java Developer you are responsible for maintaining, managing and developing our fintech platform. Your main focus will be the backend system, which is a cloud-based (AWS) application running on Java. This will include:

• Working on automating the loan assessment process, assuring that customers are able to have a complete digital experience and fast feedback

• Integrating third party services for assessment checks

• Implementing logic to approve/deny applications based on our credit policy

• Work in compliance with the Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM) , De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and European privacy regulation (GPDR)

take solutions. You also need:

• Completed higher education (HBO/WO) in Computer Science, ICT, Software Engineering, or a similar field

• 3+ years of Java development experience (Java 17 or 21 preferred); OCP certification is a plus

• Experience with NodeJS/TypeScript

• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Design patterns

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum, Design Patterns, and enterprise Java frameworks, such as Spring Boot or Jakarta EE

• Knowledge of SOA and service integration (message brokers, REST APIs)

• Familiar with DevOps tools (Docker/Kubernetes) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)

• WFT Consumer Credit certification or willingness to obtain it

• A salary between €3500 and €5700 gross per month (based on a 40-hour workweek), depending on your experience

• A one-year contract with the intention to convert it into a permanent contract upon proven suitability

• 28 vacation days (based on a 40-hour workweek)

• A pension scheme with only a 3% personal contribution, allowing you to retain more net salary

• €30 net per month for home office allowance and a free daily lunch at the office

• Full reimbursement of public transport costs if you travel by train or bus

• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer if you commute by car and live more than 10 km from the office
